Vadum Awarded Multiple BAA's in Support of JIEDDO
Vadum, Inc., Raleigh, NC, has been awarded prime contracts for two BAA programs to support the mission of the Joint Improvised Explosive Device Defeat Organization (JIEDDO). The 18 month contracts have a value of $700k and $950k and will result in the development of human RF exposure effects instrumentation and additional Counter Improvised Explosive Device technologies. Vadum has also partnered with Applied Research Associates of Albuquerque, NM and will collaborate on additional JIEDDO programs.

Vadum Conducts Successful Testing at YPG
Vadum, Inc., Raleigh, NC has successfully completed initial testing of a prototype system at the Yuma Proving Grounds facility to support land-based electronic warfare activities. The successful testing followed an intensive development cycle to address a current need of U.S. military forces.

Vadum Inc. appoints Gary Edge as Chief Executive Officer
Vadum Inc, a pioneer in the field of radio frequency signature detection, has announced the appointment of Gary Edge to the position of Chief Executive Officer. Edge’s first task will be commercializing Vadum’s cell phone detection technology.

Vadum founders Mark Buff and Aaron Walker commented, "We are excited to have Gary join our team. We look forward to leveraging his broad experience. Gary joins us at an important time, we are preparing to launch the first in a series of security products. Gary will immediately play a key role in getting the product into the hands of our customers. With Gary on board, we believe we are well positioned to manage our anticipated growth."

Edge most recently served as Vice President of Design Engineering with Renesas Technology, a semiconductor manufacturer specializing in microprocessors, ASIC’s, analog and other mixed-signal ICs. Prior to joining Renesas, he spent over 20 years with Mitsubishi Electric’s North American semiconductor division where he served as Vice President and General Manager. He held various roles with Mitsubishi Electric, including product development, business operations and manufacturing.

Vadum, Inc was founded in 2004. Since starting operations, Vadum had focused on United States Department of Defense contracts while developing their first product. Vadum has been awarded several contracts oriented around the detection and defeat of Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs).

January, 2007
Vadum Awarded ARO Grant for C-IED Research and Development
Vadum, Inc. of Raleigh, NC has been awarded a grant from the Army Research Office with a value of $450 k. The program focuses on the development of technologies for Counter Improvised Explosives Devices (C-IED) activities and leverages Vadum's experience in this critical area.

November, 2006
Vadum Awarded BAA for EOD Team Security
Vadum, Inc. of Raleigh, NC has been awarded a three year Broad Agency Anouncement contract from the Naval Sea Systems Command Explosives Ordnance Disposal Technology Division with a value of $1.5 M. The goal of the program is the development of a sensor platform for improving the security at EOD team incident command posts.

Vadum Signs Contract with NAVEODTECHDIV and Titan
Vadum signs a contract with NAVEODTECHDIV and Titan to design and construct an RF PXI prototype system that will provide a "proof of concept" and establish a field-able platform.
